hi people i'm a bit stuck,i got a 99 4xv
the shift shaft tab was broken off i found last week,,so i went to the box my buddy gave me with the bike, that has a spare gearbox and bits in..and a spare shift shaft.
only thing is the shift shaft i have spare is longer than the one i took off.so i had to turn the gear arm round the wrong way and managed to get it to work, now i can get all the gears no problem..it still jumps out of 2nd a bit but i can at least change gear now.
so thinking the one i took off that is broken,,is the correct size,i got another off ebay,,well it turned up today, but is the same length as the spare one i fitted..
so do any of you know...what the correct one is for the bike, the old broken one is approx,100mm long, and the spare one i fitted and the one from ebay is about 152 long.
im confused as to what it should be.many thanks.
shift shaft 4xv 99
