Morning all. Newbie Pete saying hello.
Completely new to any sort of forums so apologies in advance for any lack of forum etiquitte! I have had my red/white 98 4XV R1 for about 18 months now. Partly stripped down at present to restore the OEM bodywork. The bike is in great condition with only 11,000 miles showing and has got suspension/exhaust/carb upgrades, which ultimately I want to return back to factory standard. I thought this would be a great place to get some advice.

Welcome to the forum Pete, and a good opening post from a forum newbie
Only thing missing was a pic of your pride and joy, the link below will tell you how to post pics
viewtopic.php?f=4&t=144" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Monkey face, aka Jompy will be along later to tell you not to use the torque setting in the manual on your sump plug, he can be a ham fisted monkey and he knackered his first time around..... He does talk a lot of sense, as do the other guys on here, they are full of knowledge about all sorts, so any questions, just ask.
Oh and we have a great sense of humour so join in with the banter and fun.
Welcome
Stephen
