Cheers guys, i have owned and ridden a good few bikes, I tried a new fireblade and zx10r but can't seem to find a 14b to try but to be honest after sitting on one and looking round a few and watching endless videos and on going on this site im pretty much sold on getting one now the build quality looks mint, they sound awesome i know everyone says they are heavy but after years of hussling around old zx9r and old k2 gsxr1000 i think i will be okay on the r1

Only other bike Iam considering is a 2013 fireblade in red and white but after trying one i wasn't overly impressed it was very fast but no real character to it? maybe it would be better with a can fitted
Any advice greatly appreciated as its a big purchase for me and a lot of money

				Welcome to the forum Rick.
You're more than welcome to have a go on mine, but probably too far away.
They most certainly have bags of character if that's what you're after

Bub.... Jompy is clearly a male monkey, he can't eat a banana and type at the same time... U.S. Males are useless at multitasking

Being serious now, welcome to the forum mate and good luck in your search for the right 14b. Try a few, so you get to feel what they are like, some people like me love them, others hate them and there is no real in between . The Hondas are soulless compared to the R1 they are just so so intoxicating, and as Locke says, the sound.... Well it's just like Rossis M1

So welcome to the forum and enjoy your new bike when you find her

As said I am struggling to find a 14b to get a demo on but i have narrowed my choice to one of these or a blade I have tried the blade so just gonna dive in the deep end and buy one and hope for the best, put both my current bikes up for sale and why is it there is all of a sudden loads of nice r1's coming up for sale i bet when mine have sold and i have the cash in my hand they will all vanish again lol
