Yamaha owner who needs help

Hi All,
I own an FZR400 which is my long term project bike. The plan is to model it on the R7, thus an R4.
Anyway I want to fit an USD front end to it and the best candidate seems to be the 2003-2003 R1, but I have to find out the length of the forks from axle centre to top of fork tube (not including the cap and fully extended). As part of my never ending quest I discovered that there is very little information about this on the web, bit surprising really, and very little of what is available is verified.
So I made a web page to record what information I could find. If you would like to add any information it would be appreciated and photos where possible please.

Thanks in advance to anyone who can help out.
cheers
Blair

Welcome in Blair.

Out of interest, what makes those particular forks the most appropriate for the conversion?

I assume you'll be getting them resprung and revalved to take account of the lower weight of the recipient bike and the lower power / forces generated by the 400?

Welcome to the forum Blair, you have certainly come to the right place to ask questions, the guys on here are very knowledgeable, well they are, unfortunately I'm not.

Good luck with the project
