Just a quick one to say Hi..

Hi guys,

Been lurking around here for a few months. Time to say hello.
Forum shy, so I'll keep it short and sweet...
Bike history? Even shorter.
1989-1991 Honda Hurricane MBX75 (1986)
1991-1992 Yamaha FZR 600 (1990)
..and then, life happened…
May 2015. Compulsively get myself an R1 (2015) following a bad case of irrational love at first sight.
One month later I am attending my first ever track evening at Brands..
I am sure many of you are familiar with the rest of the story.. Completely hooked. SORN, Endless research, mods and more mods, financial meltdown…
Managed to pack 12 track days since, and progress to feel confident in the mid pack of the fast group at my home tracks, mostly thanks to the bike.. this thing is unreal..
I have found loads of useful information on the forum, so thank you guys. I'll try to give my two pence back.

Cheers.

d.

A very warm welcome D, track days do have a habit of getting expensive, but well worth it.

Hi Pete, Brands mostly and Silverstone a couple of times. I also did one day at Snetterton (But it rained half way through)
My favorite so far on my extremely short list is Brands Hatch GP. Rollercoaster!

Hi Pete..
I am not a buddhist, but I am a vegetarian. Does that count? :D

Hi fellas,
Thanks again for the welcome posts. That rain looks mean! Would love to learn how to ride fast in the wet, but at the moment rain on track just makes my sphincter clench slightly
I have started another thread on the model specific section with a description of the bike. Here's the link.

Cheers.

Definitely must try in the future. I hear it's a great way to improve your riding skills, but still find quite unnerving to go balls to wall in the rain..
