YZF750sp racer says hi

After finding a certain Hedgepig on another forum, he made me come here. I raced with Phil donkeys years ago with Derby Phoenix, but after several different clubs I now race with Thundersport GB, this season on my new to me YZF750sp Golden Era Superbike. I've raced since '98 and this should be my last year, then it'll just be the occasional trackday. Ie a 350lc for the road and only get this out if it's nice - its a usable investment

I'm in Wigan, so other than 3 Sisters circuit 2 minutes from my door, Oulton is my preferred local track. I'm more into old school stuff and classics than the modern bikes, and love custom bikes ( not cruisers and deffo not Harley crap ), but stuff like xS650 flat trackers etc.

I like tattoos, bikes, racing, beer festivals, rock music, and unfortunately - food

My 16yr old nephew races too - Josh Daley, and is a mega talent for the future. He's off into BSB Stock 600 this year, but has races since he was 6, so pretty experienced

Ickle Pob, now that's a name from the past, you may remember me as Sneaky from the Derby Phoenix days. Phil said you had been in touch.

Nice YZF and LC   hows the racing been

Hey up Sneaky

Racing has been on and off. Went from DP to KRC endurance, then had a few years off and went back on a Honda RS125. I did a few seasons on a CB500 with Thundersport GB which was ace, and now onto the 750 i Golden Era Suerbikes. Its a proper trick bike built from BSB bits from the Nigel Nottingham stable. Had it dyno'd last week and even with the clutch breaking free at 10.5k revs, she made 135hp.

I really need to get into the garage today and finish some small jobs off as at oulton tomorrow to give it a shakedown after a few winter jobs.

Im hoping to do 5 meetings this year, and maybe as my final hurrah, do the Manx next year. Our Josh is the one to watch though - hes been kicking ass on his ZXR400 for the last 2 years, and 2 years on a superteen before that , and many years in pocket bikes before that, racing and beating the like of Kyle Ryde, Harry Hartley, Brad Ray etc etc....

Glad to hear you had some great racing days, did a few guest visits my-self in the KRC championship. I am sure Phil and I will catch up with ya at a circuit this year. Oh didn't know Josh came from your clan, he is quick alright ;) ;)
