Hi peeps / ill try again woaty here from the midlands love bikes & anything to do them , i call it a passion wife said no its an obsession :lol: got a real soft spot for the 90s sport bikes just got hold of a 97 thunderace nearly mint apart from the valve ,ive had all sorts of bikes from rd 200/250 & 350 great bike scared the sh*t out of me :lol: r6 ,gsxr ,vtr tigersport fzs 1000 & 600 different cursiers , but theres something about this ace i really love but cant put my finger on it :shock:
just treated myself to a triumph thunderbird storm for my 50th birthday wat a bike/ as a 50 year old i need comfort if im out for more than a mile :lol:

A good history of bikes you got there. Got any pics of the thunderace?

They're a nice bike I was at, ahem, school when they were produced but I appreciate them as they were where the R1 started really

Hi woaty from a fello midlander - nice selection o' bikes (get some pics up if u have any & when you've sussed out how ;) ) I'm near hinckley where 'bouts in the midlands ya from pal :)

Yes m8 drive past their factory nearly every day - one of mi sons footy coaches works fer em- tells me about new models being 'worked-on' every now & then (jammy fucker is always in Brazil for 'work' ;) )

I also loved the ace it's a proper well put together sports bike I really gelled with it, mine was blue n back don't think I have any pictures now

I've met more than one ex-owner who said they'd never buy another one. But to be fair, the quality seems to have improved in recent years.

Mind you, BMW's of that era had their problems too.
