HELLO everyone
been lurking here for a while until my new Yamaha Purchase came through, but will say hello now becasue deposit now paid on a new R1, lets hope it doesn;t get to many recalls

picking up Dec or early Jan
will be first Yamaha since 1976 RD200 lol

yes I am an old fart (50's) but hey, once a biker, always a biker
Coming from a few years on a Honda Firablade, will be good to see how the Yamaha's compare.
I do lots of tracks day a year (when possible) and will be nice to see how the Yam R1 is on track
my last ride was this Honda (RR5) so the new R1 will be a nice increase in power.
Hope to see some of you on track or the road at some point?
my out going bike

Welcome to the forum Simon, don't mind Bub, he is a short arse and he always gets everyone's name mixed up. Quite a few of us are in our 50's so I guess that makes the R1 the mature riders choice
Anyway welcome and enjoy your new toy when she arrives, your blade is a good bike, but the R1 will blow your mind away
Oh and

for posting a pic in your first post, nice one
Welcome
Stephen
