Hello
Hello
Hello ,
Another new member, on here to share and get as much advice as I can. Have a 2001 VRC1 and looking to restore it to its former glory so I am sure I shall be looking for all the advice going.
My first proper Yamaha but I did have a FS1E back in the day. Have had plenty of other Japanese bikes over the years and still have a K5 gsxr and a CB1300 .
I hope it will be ready by the spring, time and funds allowing.
I hope no one minds but may I start by asking where is the best place to get genuine Yamaha parts form. ?
Regards,
Nat.

Re: Hello
Welcome to the forum Nat and feel free to ask whatever questions you may have, someone will have the answer. Regarding genuine Yamaha parts, well I would try Yamaha but then I'm a bit of a numpty and I'm sure the guys that come on later will have more idea than me.
So welcome
Stephen

Re: Hello
Thanks for the warm welcome.
VRC 1 = Vivid red cocktail .
I guess you know it better as a 5JJ.
Im the 4 th owner, red/white , 12K on the clock and sounds very sweet and smooth. I have scrubbed it and it looks really very good but needs a few bits. Front mudguard I have managed to find.
I am now looking for a std end can. Will stick a wanted add on the correct section , but if anyone has a mint and I mean unmarked standard end can do let me know.
Part number 5JJ-14710-00.
Will try to post a picture when I get the chance.
Regards
