How do everyone. I live in derby and have had my 2005 R6 for just a week over 1 year.
Been on track 2 times last year so hoping to do a bit more this year.
Whenever the weather is good I like to get out and go for a blast. Much more fun when you're not on your own. Try to drag a mate along but can't always time it right so if anyone ever fancies it just let me know.

Welcome to the forum Leigh, we have a few members around the Derby area, also we organise forum track days each year, they are always well attended and we have some racers who help us mere mortals out on track, very decent of them.
How are you finding your R1, you have certainly come to the right forum to talk bikes, we are all mad about bikes and we are a great biking family. No cliques on here, just good honest advice, so any questions just ask.
Oh and we love pics on here, so please post some pics of your bike.
Welcome
Stephen

Welcome in mate. It's good to ride with mates that you can trust but I enjoy riding myself at my own pace and not getting mixed up in any silly bravado stuff.

Thanks all for the warm welcome. I do try and ride when its clear and the floor has no more salt and water on.
Here is a pic, since that in the summer I have changed the exhaust, added a hanger, changed indicators and put a new tail tidy on.
Love my new exhaust though, it's a 2 brothers one and sounds awesome.

Yep, well done, mallory it is! I do love that track, should be heading back to Oulton this year. Would love to do donny and Silverstone though.
Belper is not far at all. I work in Alfreton so I'm always heading up that way and obviously on the way to Matlock.
Do you get out much over the summer?

I've not even herd of true riders but i guess they aren't around anymore as their last tweet was back in 2012.
Im hoping to attend a double TD at oulton at the beginning of June.
Donny at the end of march could work, hopefully the weather will have improved or at least be dry.

I'm in DE73 and some of the reprobates I used to know were in the true riders. I just enjoyed taking the piss out of 'em

Nothing wrong with abut of harmless (ish) piss taking once in a while.
DE73 isn't far from donny at all is it?
