Welcome to the forum John, you will love your 5vy, they are a cracking bike. Tell us a bit about your biking history, how you arrived at choosing the 5vy, and post up some pics, we love pics on here. What colour is she and does she have any mods or is she totally standard. The 5vy's go on and on, like the Duracell bunny,

I got over 65,000 miles out of mine in just under three years and ever mile was a joy to ride.
To post pics see the links below, monkey face aka Jompy will be along later and he explains how to do things in a much easier to understand way than me.

Photo-bucket
viewtopic.php?f=4&t=144" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Any questions you have about your 5vy or biking in general, or anything else fir that matter, just ask, the guys are friendly and helpful and someone will have been there, done that and got the t shirt to boot..... Even it it is to tell you not to wheelie your R1 between two lorries on a dual carriageway
This is a great forum, no cliques so we are all equal.
Enjoy the forum and your R1
Welcome
Stephen

Hi, welcome to the forum.
It can be what ever you wish it to be when you enter though these digital, high octane gates...advice on tuning, suspension set up, track days, racing, sandwich fillings, the occult, engineering, religion, kitchen sales, Motability scooters, tanks, goats, bridges, harmonious balance and so on...
...enjoy your stay

Hi all, thanks for the welcome, I hadn't ridden a bike since my 350LC in 1992, bought a cheap thundercat that needed some work doing to it, sold that and bought a ZX9R c2, sold that and bought a none running 954 Fireblade really cheap, sold that and bought my 2004 5vy, still haven't worked out how to put pictures on here yet though. 5vy is standard apart from a K&N air filter, saving up for some slip ons at the moment.

Here you go Robbo
"get yourself a free photobucket account & follow the idiots guide to posting pics from your pc
posting.php?mode=reply&f=6&t=10659
if you don't want to open a photobucket account then an alternative is go to
http://tinypic.com/
1 - "choose file" and browse to the image you wish to upload from your PC
2 - In the "resize" drop down choose either 15" or 17" screen (15 is enough and fast too)
3 - Press "upload now" where it will ask you to type in a couple of words to confirm you are a human being and not an automated program.
4 - Once done copy the text from the "IMG Code for Forums & Message Boards" field
5 - Then just paste it exactly as is in to your message.
or you can post direct from your not so smart phone using tapawank (tapatalk) it's great for posting pic's & notifications but wank for viewing the forum
