Hi from Spain!

Post by _JR_ »

Hello everybody!

First of all, I would like to apologize because my English level is very basic. I'm trying to improve it but is quite difficult if you don't have much time to practice.

My name's Jose Ramon, although everybody here call me JR, like the guy from de Dallas series :D

I'm 33 years old and I've just bought a R6 model 2008 with 1723km only! and I think this comunity will help me with any problem I could have with my new bike.

By the way, as the title says, I'm from Jaén, a small city in the South of Spain. I don't know if there are many Spaniards in this place

Hello mate, welcome.

I spend quite a bit of time in Spain, we've got a place close to Torrevieja. I'll be at Cartagena at the start of March, hoping to make Cartagena my local track as I'll be leaving my R1 track bike out in Spain this time around.

Thanks for the welcome :D

I'm used to go to Almería, Guadix and Jerez circuits because they are nearer to home.

I know many people come from England to ride here. I'm very surprised because it must be really expensive to go to another country with the motorbike and all the equipment :?

Sorry R1Clarky, but I just have my motorbike for one week and I didn't have time to prepare it and take photographs but I promise, I will post a photo as soon as possible ;)

Marquez forever!! hahaha

Thanks carsonr6, you're a clever man haha, you have a place near Cheste circuit and Cartajena. Have you tried Almería one? It's a really exciting circuit, usually very good weather and temperature, good grip and ¿blind corners? so you have to be careful at the beginning 8-)

By the way, if anyone needs anything from here, I will try to help ;)

Hi JR,

I've not ridden Almeria but it's definitely on the list, just depends on what's available really when I'm off work. Have you ridden Albacete? Seen another great track further north close to Barcelona but I can't remember the name of it.

Yes, of course I've ridden Albacete :D. In fact, last year the pavement was renewed and its grip is fantastic  and safer than before.

Maybey you are thinking in Calafat circuit, which is near Barcelona?

Theres is other great circuit here. Do you know the Monteblanco circuit in Huelva (Andalucía)? This circuit is one of my favourites. It isn't very famous but their facilities are great and the circuit is very very funny and again, the weather is usually warm.

With him being a Spaniard I can totally understand why he is a Marquez fan.
Now Pinnit please don't snap the face off me coz I know you are a big Pedalo Pedrosa fan but let's face it, he has had forever to achieve something but achieved f**k all really .

Welcome in Jose
Your english seems very good and i think you'll enjoy your time in here ;)
get yourself a free photobucket account & follow the idiots guide to posting pics from your pc
posting.php?mode=reply&f=6&t=10659
if you don't want to open a photobucket account then an alternative is go to
http://tinypic.com/

1 - "choose file" and browse to the image you wish to upload from your PC
2 - In the "resize" drop down choose either 15" or 17" screen (15 is enough and fast too)
3 - Press "upload now" where it will ask you to type in a couple of words to confirm you are a human being and not an automated program.
4 - Once done copy the text from the "IMG Code for Forums & Message Boards" field
5 - Then just paste it exactly as is in to your message.

or you can post direct from your not so smart phone using tapawank (tapatalk) it's great for posting pic's & notifications but wank for viewing the forum ;)

JR,

This is the circuit here I was talking about - http://ww2.parcmotor.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I've heard about Monteblanco and again it's on the list. I'll be doing most of my trackdays in Spain from now on so I'll just be scanning the circuits to see what's available on my days off. Do you know any good websites for booking trackdays in Spain?
