Newbie from Essex
Newbie from Essex
Just wanted to say hello before posting on the other sections.
Had an R1 2015 last year and picked up the R1M on good friday. Seems they've changed the compound in the brake pads. They seem much better.
Thanks. Roy

Thanks guys for the welcome!
You seem quite friendly.
I have always had bikes. Did the FS1E thing then an RD250 then a Kawasaki Z1000H.
Sold that and got a Yamaha TZ 250 in 1982 as i'd always been into bike racing. Progressed to a rotax 250 which was a disaster.
Then sold up and got married. Which was a disaster too!!
Scince then got back into racing, always with classic two strokes, and spent more than i earned but had alot of fun.
I'm now an old bastard, 54, so not racing that often although i still get out now and then.
I do have a BMW boxercup which i use for a european holiday once a year.
I got the R1 last year as i wanted to experience 197 horsepower before i got too old. I did try then for the M but missed out.
So now i have to run in the M. Have done 4 miles so far! Cant wait to get it on track. Closest i'll ever get to a MotoGP bike
