				Hi all,
Looks like a decent forum this!
I'm making the leap to the litre club having ridden 600's for the past 6 years (with a 2 year break). I've owned a Honda CBR600 F Sport (first bike) then a CBR600 F, a project CBR400RR (which got stripped and rebuilt and sold about 80% complete) and then a Suzuki GSXR600 L4 (2014 - owned from new).
I've always loved the look of the 09-14 R1 and after having a very random meet with an R1 owner from Wales at the England/Scotland border I ended up hooked. The lad didn't know the roads around there and me being relatively local decided to show him some of the better routes, then after a stop at a cafe for a brew he gave me a shot of his Big Bang R1 even though he knew I'd never ridden a litre bike before

His was decatted with yoshi pipes and remapped....I absolutely fell in love with the R1, the noise, power delivery, the pops on over-run, it felt like a very special occasion getting on that bike. So 4 days later I put a deposit down on this and collect it later this week!
Look forward to getting clued up on these bikes over the next few weeks reading this forum.
Cheers
Steve

haha I'm not far off, just south of the border! No idea if it's been remapped, don't even know how I would tell? Map and clutch mod is what I've picked up from reading this forum so far

Thanks for making me so welcome lads!

Chances are that if you start it up and it's in A mode it's mapped but it's not a definite , if it's lumpy h snatchy around town then the chances are it isn't

Steve it was the red & black, had a yoshimura RS3 exhaust and I absolutely loved that bike. Wish I kept it as a second bike

It looks a bit orange in this picture
