Hi everyone!
I've been into bikes since my RD50 days as a 16 year old (a mere 20 years ago!) 8 years ago passed my test and gained experience on a 1989 VFR 750. I also have a ktm 250f motocross bike for muddy days and this weekend I picked up my silver R1 03 5pw. I rode it from Surrey back home to Cornwall that day and love it! I'm so excited to put some miles on it!!

Here's a couple of pictures of my new pride and joy (and a sneaky Pembury shot of the VFR!)

Hello mate and welcome along, nice R1, the new bike will handle tons better than that old Honda did (by the looks of the photo

) so hopefully you'll get some better track day photos to post up. Enjoy the bike..and the forum too

God them were the days

sadly had to move mum up norf because of illness so we could look after her ... So hay hoe. Some fantastic roads and scenery in your neck of the woods

Small world indeed! I'm just up the road from Illogan in Redruth. Preston to Cornwall is an impressive commute! This time of year is great down here on the bike, some half-decent weather and the crowds are yet to arrive.

Thanks for the welcome! Even on the run home from Surrey the handling was like chalk and cheese to the ol VFR workhorse! There's four of us heading to Pembury for the weekend in June so should hopefully post something a little sportier after that! Can. Not. Wait. [emoji38]

Must admit I always loved winter and spring down there, nice n quiet. My dad is buried in the church yard as you take the road from pool to portreath just after going under the bridge for the A30, next to pool academy and at the back of Cornwall collage . Redruth not far from where mum n dad were

You down here on Bikes? Hope the weather's kind to you! Give me a shout on here if you want any pointers on some great riding roads. There's plenty around Penzance/lizard peninsula and North Coast.

I wish we were on the bikes but I don't think the wife will plus she wants to do some walking
