Hi all,

I'm new into R1 ownership having just purchased (4 weeks ago) my 2005 5VY. I love it so far! Haven't been able to get too much riding in due to weather /work constraints but the miles I have covered so far have been great. The 5VY has always been on my list and I love the look of the bike. It's had as few things done to it although nothing major.

Zero Gravity tinted screen, R&G bobbins, ASV stubby leavers, A&R race baffles and a tail tidy. Got a few thing I'd like to do to it but I won't rush in!

I've been riding continuously for 8 years now my bike history is as follows:

I started out on a Gilera Ice 50cc moped then moved up to a 1989 Yamaha TZR125 then onto a 1984 Honda VFR400 then to a 1996 Yamaha FZR Foxeye, then onto a K4 GSXR 750 which I ended up loving and modifying extensively and now I'm onto this :) I did also purchase early last a year a 1974 RD350B - it's a little bit of a restoration project/barn find but I'm working on it in my spare time and I can't wait to get it on the road!

Anyway I'll stop dragging on now!

The Runners were a good little moped too. A friend had one with a 172 Malossi bore on it - that was mighty quick for a twist n go.
