Hi All,
newbie, from New Zealand. (Don't be put off by the different country - you may want to ride from Christchurch to Akaroa one day, and I'll be there to say "Hi").
Only had a few bikes since starting about 2000. Aprilia (Gulliver 50cc scooter); Honda GB400; Honda VFR400. Then got real....Having broken the addiction of a 2014 ZX10R, that I had since new (in 2006) I have seen the light, and am LOVING my 6oth Anniversary R1. Riding mates have all had R1's, one still has a 50th, and one has a Red 2015.
For some reason 50th's and 60th's are gravitating to Christchurch NZ - three of each kicking around here. It's a great place to be, and to ride.
Haven't done much to mod the 60th. Custom LED blaster X integrated tail light, Elite-1 tail tidy, and on and off wiring open the exup valve. And, Akrapovic slip-on (that we all know doesn't come as standard on the Yellow's).
This is a really good forum full of good information - thanks to the creators, and those getting involved.

A few weeks back - Autumn in Akaroa.
I was muttering that today was cold.... perfectly sunny, hint of wind, and 9 degrees Celcius. Perfect UK summers day?

Welcome in mate. Really like the Anniversary bike. Did you have to buy the Akra slip on then?

I'm seeing a lot of anti-police activity around on the news this past few days.
Some countries blow them up, other countries shoot the police.
Not nice.
Police are people doing the job and tasks that we normal boring citizens don't want to do.
They are family people, pet owners, and some are even bike MAD - like this one....

Mr Plod came running to see the 60th roll out the door. True bike fan. May I never embarrass myself by riding too fast on the road, near him!

Stunning photo's. And as the the 'entrapment' photo...yeah, I could go on for hours
I agree the police are the public, but some(on both sides) forget this and we have to be very careful not to create an ever bigger divide. Sometimes these guys can be used to protect the real criminals in society and they become stuck between a rock and a hard place.

Welcome to the forum, good to have another Kiwi here. Love the bike, they had one at Red Baron last time I was there and I would have bought it on the spot if I'd had the money!

BTW there is a bike rally called the Cold Kiwi. Used to be in the middle of winter near the mountains in the centre of the North Island, and it was usually COLD. Sign of the times I suppose, but it's now the first weekend in spring.
