Eyup...

Getting an R1 4C8 in a couple of months... I'll be taking it to brands too, which leads me to a question (not sure whether bike chat or this'll do??) Need an aftermarket exhaust, preferably for greatest power increases (including a flashtune and a commander)..

What exhaust should I get? I'm wanting a full system, or atleast a decat system, which won't break db limits at tracks (I know they vary)... Price isn't that much of an issue.

Thanks in advance lads (and.... ladies?) :)

Mmmmaaattttttt Dammmmonnnnn !
going to see you on thursday ;)
Welcome in bud
i like the exup valves but a decent decat ,can's and a re-map should completely transform the power delivery as well as performance .
i think any open cans should be good but have a chat with PJC as he had Yoshi's and re-map and th map he had turned the bike into an animal !

Haha thanks for the warm welcome guys :)

Thanks so much for the info! Been looking at akras!

I'll use the search bar for more info about exup etc. (I'm not so brushed up on all this yet)

Also looked at yoshis, just wondering about db limits though... If I buy them and they're too loud I'd be so pissed :')

Welcome in MD

A 3/4 Yoshi or Akrapovic system with baffles will pass most if not all trackday noise limits ;) Saying that so will a full system if correctly baffled.

The 4c8 is a great bike but does need a few quid spending on it, try and get a highly specked bike as parts are expensive and not often available. There are a few on here that have built and crashed/sold some good ones.

Enjoy the forum

Had an RS125, currently a GSX650F, which is soon to be replaced by the almighty R1.

Regarding the pictures, that's a bit personal mate but I've got a solid 8 incher.....

I raced a 4C8 last year, they only really make sense when you've got your balls to the wall but they're an excellent bike.
Takes an athletic rider to ride one properly though.

Alex see if you can blag a go on the full range , you'll be doing yourself a favor !
Bubs had a 4c8 and he was never as comfortable with it as he was his 4xv until he spent a lot of money on it , Maverick has a 14b but ended up selling it because he didn't ride because he couldn't get on with it , he bought a 5jj the other week & I couldn't shut the fucker up on the phone as he was that happy with it ;)

Cheers mate. I've ridden the 4c8 before, had -1+2 though, so obviously felt like a beast! I can't say I like he sound of the new ones and I had great fun on the 4c8 so I think I'll go with that :) and mod it obviously.

Thanks for all the warm welcomes
