Just joined folks, so hello everyone...used to have a 2005 R1 back in 2007 ish but just bought a 2016 in race blu....don't get it for a week or so. Gonna be a long wait

Had a lot of different bikes over the last 20 odd years but this one is a belter. Been on naked sports for 10 years at least, so my body better adapt lol. Just ordered a double bubble and stomp grips this evening amongst other stuff...better go now and pour some stella over me credit card cos it's on fire...cheers, Chris

Welcome to the forum Chris, this is a great place to talk bikes and all sorts of other stuff. The peeps on here are great, no cliques like you get on other forums, just like minded people who love bikes and helping each other out . Enjoy the new R1, they are bloody awesome.... And that's an under statement [emoji3]
Welcome

Welcome in mate. Great choice, enjoy and get some pics up when it arrives. Don't let your credit cars see all the Gilles accessories!

I've finally got round to taking a few pics....I always kept forgetting when oot and aboot

....yep the pics are crap I know and not the best location either,

Just had it's first service and loving it... it's proper radio rental to ride, I'm struggling to behave but hey ho I can't fight the voices within

...struggling a tad with the comfort though, fair bit of metal work in my shoulder is giving me gyp but i hope to overcome the pain through adrenalin

Fitted mra screen, mgs crash bungs and stomp grips..hope these pics show up below.

That's lovely mate. Lucky with the weather in Devon recently too. Spent some great years living down there and me grown up kids all stayed so hoping to bring the bike down asap. Choose your roads carefully this time of year hey!!! No damp and leafy hills.

Thanks y'all

I've only lived down here for just over a year and I'm still exploring... it's a beautiful part of the country for sure. Plenty of decent routes but does get a tad busy in summer, plenty of slicing and dicing is required lol. I've lived a fairly nomadic life and lived in a fair few places. I've just returned from Canada having lived in Ontario then the other side, British Columbia. Its stunning in BC but you simply can't beat the UK and Europe for riding in my humble opinion... roll on a mild winter

Small world mate!... I was actually living just outside of Barrie and while the roads south were boring the area north of Orillia was awesome, especially around Huntsville... had to watch for cops in bushes and mooses though lol. Never made it as far as Parry Sound but can imagine it being decent.

St.Kitts was cool but I'm a west coast Scottish lad and quite simply , there's no where like home
Canada is a good life but it's no welfare state so when times are tough theyre really tough .
