Just joined forum from uttoxeter just bought anniversary 2016 R1. My bike history is fs1e 50cc, RD125, RD250, RD350 YPVS, gamma 500, Gsxr 600, R1 1998, 848, S1000RR, R1 2016. Just started track days and enjoying learning a new skill.

I think for the road they are much the same Bmw is better for long journeys and it had heating grips. [emoji16]When it comes to the track which I am no expert only started last year and only wanted to see what the Bmw is capable of I think the R1 is far superior when it comes to rideablity and electronics you don't really feel your going fast on R1 and you can open the throttle coming out of corners and let the electronics do the work and it does anti wheelie is unbelievable. I have put a few videos on YouTube with both bikes at donington just look up Niall Cooke or lap of donington R1.

yes mine had a micron on it sounded great bored out as well to an inch of it's life. [emoji108] wish I still had it they are worth some money now I paid £100.
