Hi all
am new to the forum my name is Mark.
Been riding big bikes for about 14 years and had a supersports for 12 of them
4 different Fireblades including my current 17 plate, I also had a dedicated track bike which was a 2003 R1 ex BSB Superstock. I worked as a trackday instructor for a year, unfortunately the company went bust.
Up to now I have preferred Honda's for road bikes but recently bought a Yam MT 10SP as I no longer need a full on touring bike, just something's to commute on and take the wife as pillion, Honda had nothing that floated my boat but the MT10 certainly does :D
I am so impressed with the MT10 I'm looking at selling the blade and getting an R1
I have some questions you might be able to help me with but will start a new thread in General chat

Hi Mark, MT10 are quite a bit different to the R1, they’re like distant cousins in comparison, but test ride and you’ll see for yourself [emoji16]

Welcome to the forum Mark, nice introduction [emoji122][emoji122][emoji122][emoji122]

We have loads of trackdayers on here, indeed I used to be one, and an ex racer now riding coach in our own PJC .

I have the latest R1 and she is a beautiful bike to ride, indeed, perhaps the easiest one I’ve ever had, which is good for me as I no longer commute on the bike, so don’t ride it regularly.

I used to have hondas years ago, great bikes, but sadly never a blade, R1’s caught my attention and I went down that route.

I’ve tried the MT10, great bike as Red says. See if you can blah a test ride on an R1 for a day, you might like it, then again you might not.

Anyway welcome and it doesn’t matter what bike you ride, all bikers are welcome here
