Just stumbled across you all so joined up, don't ask me why I've taken so long to join.
Bought my R1 as a pre reg back in March 03, so it's actually an 02 bike.
I've drifted away from bikes over the last few years in favour of the my other mode of transport and working abroad, not to mention moving away from all my bike riding mates.
We used to ride all over including several European trips and track days in the dim and distant.
Well something has clicked inside me and the urge to get back on two wheels has me getting the dust covers off the bike and getting it back on the road for the first time in about 3 years.
The wheels are currently away being powder coated and a service pack is sitting at home waiting for me, to be fitted when I get home in a few weeks along with an MOT etc and I should be riding again.
I'll post a couple pictures when I get home and hopefully avoid being hit with

But basically it's a
2002 YZF R1 with a paltry 6500 miles

Akrapovic Titanium End Can
Dyno Jet Power Commander
Double Bubble Screen
Single Seat Cover
Looking forward to hopefully getting along to ride out (work permitting) and meeting some of you.
