to ride or not to ride
hi all after checking my chain today ive found ive got a tight spot. ive adjusted to the tightest point and its got about half inch of play ,problem is im doing about 200 mile trip this weekend , getting new chain and sprockets fitted when i get back . was just wondering whether to chance the trip or not cheers

As you are going to be replacing it, I would soak the tight spot in WD if it works Bingo, just remember not to use it on an O ring chain you intend to keep using.

When you say tight spot do you just mean a tight spot in the chain or a seized link?
If its a seized link what PJC says might work but if its just a tight spot I would continue using it as long as its not majorly bad.
