				hello my names carl
not one for introductions! but here goes
been riding for about 3 years now, and just took delivery of my newest bike last night, a 1998 r1 in blue, and in almost original condition.
This is my third bike, 1st was a 1996 suzuki bandit 600n, 2nd was and still is my honda vtr1000 firestom (i do love the twin) and ofcourse now to keep her company, the r1

				Welcome Carl, inline 4 screamer will be a nice change from the twin, hope you enjoy the top end thrill and ride her at 8k and above. Ride her like a manic 2 stroke to enjoy the best she has to offer

+1 when you hit 8-9000rpm it get's mental

Apart from the ride back from yours, haven't had her out, as i wimped out sunday  

 , damper is serviced,stompgrips fitted, double bubble is ready to go on, later clutch lever here, just waiting for the shorty levers. hopefully get out on her next weekend. i'll let you know

hope you get the right clutch lever as when i got my TiTax levers i was sent the thicker lever but had the thinner perch , so in case of future problems i just bought the thicker perch off Ebay so now i have both
