Hi Im Tom, Have posted already as having some problems with my fork alignment but you lads have sorted me out already
Im 23 from York been around bikes from a young age, had mopeds and geared 50cc/125cc bikes as soon as I turned 16, then passed my test and treated myself to a Honda hornet 600, then traded that for a Honda hornet 900, I now own a 2002 Yamaha R1 and a Honda XR650R supermoto very nice collection of bikes at the minute.

Looking forward to more contact with you guys now im part of the R1 scene and hopefully attend some meets etc

White brothers exhaust system, Custom Talon hubs and rims, CRF400 rear fender mod with LED tail/indicators, Mikuni pumper carb. What an absolute animal and handful but ive never actually laughed hysterically in my helmet for an entire journey until i got this bike! Ultimate show off tool

ps on the alignment thing , there is no way in hell your forks can be that far out without you noticing while riding the bike, i crashed an RD Yamaha years ago and all they did was twist in the yokes and you could tell, for the forks too be that off the frame would need too be bent and youd defo notice that, think off it logically like Spock would say and its impossible, it must be poorly fitted fairings or that's just the way the fairings are fitted anyway, one side has the expansion bottles etc so maybe just fitted slightly further out tae accomodate it , whatever the prob is i doubt its a bent bike , otherwise youd be able too tell as your photo shows a huge difference .

Thanks, and wow I was actually really fancying the Ktm before I got the honda it was just whichever came up first . And nope never been off-road, the lad who had it before me had made a real mess of it on the fields so unfortunately it would pain me to see it get dirty again :/ I know … soft lad or what

Yeahh thanks for the advice guys Im getting an arrow pipe for the R1 next month so while I've got the body work off il have a better investigation into it. Things do my head in that aren't 100% right lol.

You'll be glad you got that instead of the ktm , I wanted the smc with the high mudguard but this came up cheep , the early (black) lc4 engines had problems with bearings & if you hoist it on the back wheel for more than 20 secs it starves the main bearing s of oil & bang !
Fun light bike but expensive to rebuild
