hi, names ken ,, just got myself a 98 R1(red), i got knocked off my fj1200 a few weeks ago so it seemed like the right thing to do, i hope to learn a heap about my bike here and look forward to reading all about them , im 48 years old so it will be a good learning curve hopefully, being 60kg ligher and 20hp more than my fj it will be a thrill to say the least, cheers ken

G'day.
Another flamin Gallah.
Between us jocks and now the Aussies joining up, the Guffies will soon be the minority.

hehe, thanks , it does have a damper,
i know the fj is a big old thing, but i still have fun on it,,
as far as the r1 goes, i will ride it occasionally but its only got 34000 k's
on it and being a nice original red 98 im thinking 20 years down the track it will
only go up in value,, if anyone has an opinion on this model as far as collectability
goes im all ears, ken

well it finally turned up, im happy with it, i hate buying a bike unseen, it has a hole in the right fairing approx 2 inches round, i will
have to find a protector that fits that size hole or repair/replace, heres a few pics, ken
