Welcome in Mark
So you want a rough price so you can sell it ? If so you'd best post up a few good pics & details / mods on the bike so the more knowledgeable can give you an idea

Not quiet sure what to do with it at the moment..wither its worth keeping or selling,if its only worth a couple grand then its a no brainer i will keep it,spoke to a couple of people and they say put it in a special bike auction...?

To be fair unless its a very limited run bike and someone really wants it then its just a low mileage used 5PW with a paint job etc. If its been sitting on paddock or side stand and not off the suspension with fluids changed on a regular basis etc etc then its not a good bike to buy IMO

Would be nice to see pics and spec though and what servicing she has had ;)

The story behind the bike is that i bought it from a guy who"s wife had bought for him for passing his test at 50 from Chesterfield m.c,He the husband half scared himself to death so it had to go and he was getting something small, that's how i got it, :auto-biker: The bike was in as new condition with a few mods one being high level pipe and can single seat conversion,, ive got the original exhaust that still has the plastic on,i change the levers and added crash bobbins also have a few other items not fitted new tail light tidy small indicators,Up to this point ive always had bikes and never had a care in the world when i was on one, then BOOM in fact BOOM BOOM ,,WERE HAVING TWINS..That was it everything changed my all mentality and outlook on live someone else to think about not just myself,I kept the bike at work in the showroom of the garage i worked at, carpeted and heated ideal,,Changed jobs around a year a go and the bike is still in storage at new work place,,I will get some photos sorted and post them asap..

So basically you are going to sell the bike and came here either looking for someone to buy it from you at a collectors price or just to get a free evaluation.

blah

Welcome in mate. No idea about price but no doubt its only worth what someone is prepared to give you. Some may think its a collectors item other will think its just a low mileage older R1. Good luck.

Yep I can read, I was just saying how it looked. I mean you've never posted here before and now you join up asking what your bike is worth, bit naughty imo :naughty: . Yes I also have an R1 and I know exactly what my bike is worth for insurance purposes.

Welcome to the site mate, I haven't a clue re price but I think Luke won't be far off the mark.

Good luck with whatever decision you take, congratulations on your up and coming twins.

At the end of the day if you do keep the bike, you don't have to ride it like a loon or as if you stole it, R1's can be just as much fun when you take it easy. It will only go as fast as your right wrist tells it to or as slow as your self control.

Welcome in Mark ;)

I reckon Luke is about right, summer price would probably be £3K,some folk like race rep paint and will pay for it,others prefer standard original paint jobs,i like both tbh :D

Get some pics up mate ;)
