Hi. It's great to be here.
I actually joined this forum last year and I used to be a member of another Yamaha forum that I understand this one kinda developed from after it closed its doors a couple years back.
I've not been active on here until today as life threw some unexpected curve balls, like loosing my job and suddenly needing ops on my wrists, so the bike stayed locked up in the garage for the best part of a year. I wasn't sure about the future but was determined not to sell the bike and after some physio and starting up my own freelance business I reckon it's time to get back in the saddle again.
Roll on Spring and Summer!
Cheers all.
Nathan

Hope your recovery's going well & just remember if you find your wrists are hurting too much to ride the R1 , don't sell it goto cool n comfort

Cheers guys. No fear! - I'd not want to get shot of the R1 unless I absolutely had to. In order to get back in the saddle as quick as poss I've been doing special wrist exercises everyday...
Rode the bike to it's MOT as I just decided to go for it. Even though the pain was bad it felt amazing being back on the bike. Just can't cover long distances yet. Hopefully by Summer things'll be back to normal.
Thanks again all. I'll get pics of the bike up soon.
