Hi guys
I've had my licence for 18 months now and have spent it on top of a 2000 CBR600F, it has been a cracking bike but it was time to move on
on Saturday I picked up a 56 plate R1 50th anniversary in the KR colours.
The bike has been fitted with blue flame cans, braided hoses, double bubble, adjustable clip ons, colour coded rear hugger and a scot oiler
been out on it once and love it
Edited to add mods

Hi David,
Welcome to the site, that is a very nice R1.... Enjoy your new toy. The CBR is a good bike to start on.
You have passed the first test by posting a pic
Jompy.... You guessed his name was Dave using the same logic as me

They are blue flame cans and they sound like angry thunder
I've just asked that question on another thread and I believe it's just a sticker, although there is a slim chance that someone fitted ohlins internals but I would need to strip the forks to find out
cheers

She does look good, are you looking at decatting the standard cat pipe (or has it been done) and maybe get a Power Commander, night and day difference

at the moment no
going to run it as it is this year, well going to look into a tail tidy and a few wee cosmetic bits but nothing that will increase power until I am used to the power it's got

Welcome in!
How about a couple of photos of the exhaust cans? It'd be good to get a better view of them.
The 50ths are striking bikes - they always stand out.

I'm with that jury, not too keen on the colour, will give it a while and see if I like them or hate them

Love it, Classic Yamaha scheme in good condition .
Not loving the cans though, sorry , don't want to offend your new baby .
I kinda thought the cans were turned upside down.
Sent to heaven coz hell was full.

I think I'd be binning them....................
You can pick up a stock pair on Ebay for buttons (if you didn't get the originals with the bike)

I honestly think the cans are upside down.
Take a look at the side profile.
Those cans have a slight slash cut to them which looks like it's running from south west to north east. The slash should follow the line of the tail light, north west to south east.

It does look that way Stevie and if the link pipes are seperate to the silencers they could be rotated to any angle to make them look better
