Hi there
Just bought a 2006 ex TT R1 track day bike.
It's got a few nice bits already, TTX rear shock, Sigma slipper, PCIII, full race Arrow system, blah blah.
Going to tidy it a bit, but otherwise it's just a track day hack :D

Looking forward to getting some advise on bits and pieces for this bike.

Oh, have previously owned a '98 and '07 R1 before my current bike.

Cheers and stay safe guys.

HaHa
You can't just walk in and drop ya pants!!
She is in bits as I tidy a few bits up.
Wheels are off for powder coating, body work for re-spray, and new pads, brake fluid, oil change, oil & air filters, spark plugs, new tires, etc.
Just want to get her fit so I'm happy, and mine :D

Will post ASAP, unless you want to see her naked!!

Thanks for the welcomes as well.

Right, here are a few.

I need to order some bits, anyone wanna give some advice?!

1) New front & rear disc bolts. Found a set of titanium recommended on here.
2) Need new front pads. Was thinking Brembo SC pads?
3) Bought new sprockets. Went with 16T/44T I think!
4) Need to change oil. Was going to go 10/40W, but what brand? See amsoil recommended but cant find to buy it in UK. Any recommendadtions?
5) Need new exhaust hangers. The cans are oval circum 327mm. Was quoted £70 ea from arrow!! Any other idea's?
6) Need new tires once the wheels are powder coated. Thinking a set of Racetecs, 190/55 rear.

I think thats it for now :)

As for biking history, well! Got off a TZR125 when I was 18. Got my '98 R1 when I was 29. Nothing like a baptisum by fire! Went to a new '07 R1 and really liked that bike. But after a few years I wanted something a bit more exotic. Looked at a 848 but ended up buying the RSV4.

I worry tracking this though as a mate highsided his R and it cost him £2k to fix! I think the cost of repair of the RSV is holding me back, hence the R1 :)

The guy who had it before me said he only did track days at Brands, so you might have seen it there.
I am questioning if it is a 2006 now though! As didn't the 04/05 have the gold front suspension, and the 06 have black?

Welcome to the forum mark, I think the colour of the forks in 06 depended on the colour of the bike.

Great pics and a good looking bike. As you have guessed loads of good humoured banter on here and someone will always be able to offer help and advice, they are a great bunch of peeps on here
