Hi Everyone,
Just a quick hello on here, I'm on the other forums mentioned above (same username) and just about to purchase a 4C8 R1 track bike so thought I'd register over here with you knowledgable lot. Currently ride a well specced Gixxer 1000 K3 which will be for sale in a day or two once the new steed is procured. Recently did my first euro event in Cartagena and absolutely loved it. Don't know if any of you guys were on the same trip with No Limits 20-23rd Feb??
Wont bore you all to death but excited to get a newer model bike.
Cheers,
Viv

Welcome in mate, nice choice of R1 and as Locke will tell you you have advanced to a better bike, to be fair he is a Suzuki nut at hart, but he has seen the light.... Hence him wanting to see pics of the GSXR.... This is a great forum, peeps have loads if info in R1's and there is a lot if good humoured banter. I hope you grow to love your r1 as much as we love ours on here, despite what the press say, they are one hell of a bike.... Enjoy and welcome

welcome in .. i'm also on tdr and motoforum (like a couple of other forum whores in these parts)
5th generation R1.. yamahas pinnacle of conventional inline 4 engineering
suzuki and yamaha .. a good combination
my current rides are a GSXR 1000 K5 trackbike and 08 4c8 R1 roadbike

(not that the r1 has been out too often recently, damn trackday addiction , and the trackbike is the only bike that is road legal at the moment)
i bet your trackday in feb was a little warmer than mine at snett
has anyone mentioned... we like pictures

Hi mate, welcome to the forum, best bet is to either use Tapatalk if you have a smartphone, or use PhotoBucket if you are using a PC.
