Hi all,
Just a quick message to say hello! I'm Guy, 29, based in South West London (just near Richmond). Been riding bikes since I was a young and foolish teen and find myself stood in my garage staring at my new love more often than not.
I'm new to the Yamaha scene having just bought an 05 plate R1. I moved from the dark side having previously owned a K1 Gixxer 6, and I have to say I haven't once looked back!
I'll keep it brief for now, it's getting on a bit and I'm going to trawl through the previous posts in technical to see if I can find anything to help solve my 'unable to see out of mirrors at high speed' issue
Looking forward to chatting with you lot soon
All the best,
Guy

Hi guy,
Welcome to the forum mate, this is a great site and lots of good humoured banter and p!ss taking..... None of it's serious.
Re pods issue of his mirrors folding in at 150..... He he's never experienced that himself...... When he was out last time going fir it, three pedal cyclists flew past him....... Seriously..... but it did happen when he lent his bike to PJC..... Thing is it went out in one piece and came back in a few more pieces
Seriously welcome

Hi all,
I've been a member on a forum before (e30 BMW) and I have to say you lot seem like a much friendlier bunch! I've taken a couple of pics of my bike as requested - for some reason they seem too large to upload directly, I'm sure I'll get the hang of this soon but apologies in advance for any wrong doing!

fortunately my mirrors aren't folding in at speed but they do make identifying makes/models of cars impossible which needs to be sorted sooner rather than later. The previous owner recently fitted two new tyres and had the garage stiffen up the front forks at the same time so I suspect it may have something to do with that. One for the tech section I think!

Welcome in Guy
When you say "stiffened up the forks" do you mean more than just twiddling with the adjusters?
What tyre pressures are you running?
