Morning all - accidental newbie here. Called into Infinity Clapham yesterday afternoon for a new rucksack, have a new R1 in matte grey being delivered in a couple of weeks... how the f#ck did that happen
Trading in my beloved FZ1 (6 yrs 32k) and think I'm in for a very new experience

Welcome in Andy..... Very impressed..... Did you get the rucksack as well? Believe me you are going to love the R1 and you have also found a great forum, peeps on here support one and other and what they don't know about R1's ain't worth knowing.... I'm the exception because I know f all. .... I even struggle with typing..... So welcome, enjoy the forum and your R1

Stupid question (I'm full of them!) - looking through the forum theres lots of talk of model nombers. I've googled and non the wiser - what's the difference between a 14b and a 14be?

The 14be has traction control and the led strip in the lights, it also has a dip in the fairing above the lights like a frown..

This should be the model you have got, 2013 matte grey. comes with the traction control.

Welcome in mate. As hash cakes says the Matte Grey is a 14BE. Very nice choice indeed.
