That's better

I have made no secret that I have not had one enjoyable ride out this year, not once have I felt right (even pre crash) I was beginning to think age and speed were starting to head in different directions and therefore slowing down would be the only route, well that or stop riding
I am happy to say that changed last evening, a few good m8's Simon 5vy, Mark 5vy, Grant RSV4, Glenn S1000RR, McVicar Panigale (guest rider

) and my best pal Phil Factoty Mille went out for a ride where I thought staying out the way at the back would be the order of the day, however 10 miles in Phil (best m8) pulled over to wait for the 3 at the back which meant him and I at the front me leading and bingo; riding with your pal ticked all the boxes, we covered a good 140miles in blistering heat all over Northumberland and Scotland until dusk at speeds I only recall doing last year, Glenn put it perfectly "You seem to have your Mojo back" with Phil adding, "slow ride at the back eh m8"
It was great I took point for most of it, the natural order has been restored, christ I even slid my knee and that is something I usually just keep for the track and no it wasn't a sissy roundabout it was two 90mph up hill lefthanders near the Ottercops
That panigale is a thing of beauty, he has tricolour Chinese fairings (look and fit was amazing), full Austin system (what a sound track) Full Maxton suspension, BST wheels, the list goes on, shame he cant ride it
Grant has been doing track time on his 142bhp 675 rocket ship and it shows in his fast road riding
Glenn on his BMW struggled again, he is not getting on with that bike, but then he sold a silky smooth 07 blade which we had setup so well, he has to get his head around the need to dominate his new stead, got a feeling he will sell it for a new model blade and to be fair I think he should, I have ridden it and don't rate it that much.
Anyway enough of that and happy to be my old self again

Nice one Pete , it takes one good ride to bin the thoughts that were in your head and that by your write up is what's just taken place.
Try not to overdo things fella and get the last of healing sorted.
Late track day in Spain might just help cement your new found vigor on the beast

As the saying goes Mark, no horses were spared, all angles were explored.
How are you getting on with the S1

Mostly good mate not had it in slick mode yet until I get used to it fully I think the abs saved me a few bumps and bruises the other day when I went into bulging eye mode on a tight corner. Its definitely a track bike the roads aren't long enough from 8 thou on its fucking mental but that's in my opinion yourself and others on here with more skills than me may find it no different to any other litre bike. One things for sure the suspension needs tweaking was thinking of taking it to k-tech for a ride in adjustment.

I think yankeezulufoxtrot means be yourself and enjoy the ride and don't upset the bike

It gets worse Peter. I knew the front wasn't right and still I didn't check the pressure, sometimes experience gets in the way. Don't worry I sat me down and called me all the C's under the sun.

Snap Stevie, not sure having someone else who rides like I/you do is a good thing
Nothing like flying into a 130 left hander with someone you trust either just in front or behind you. Only 4 people I am comfy doing that with, you and Ewan have two spots.
