ello all
just picked up a 14k 2000 5jj

and loving it ........... got a few std bits with it also
its going to be a winter project to make it a minter .

Winter job , i recon that'd take you a weekend to get that mint including shopping saturday , out on the piss sat night with hang over sunday morning then round to mum & dads for a sunday roast & if your really good you might fit in a couple of hours at the pub in the afternoon . . . . . it looks pretty mint .

my mate had a fightered exup non of this poncey new crap with the silly back ends & it was rattle can painted black , it was that ,that made me fall in love ith my half one

some nice bikes you've had , was that a couple more R1's in there ?
And a super duke too , one of the other guys has a super duke , i really wanted one of those or one of the first 1050 street triples luckily one of my mates turned up with the R1 i have now

just sold the superduke as I wanted to go back to a sports bike
... believe it or not but the duke was 9yrs old and 4.5k on the clocks
I like the v twins but it was too much wind blast at speed ,
from memory the blue r1 was a 99 , with 3" off the screen top , bar raisers and straight bars due to the previous owner having a bad back .

i said i'd never own another KTM after the crap i've had with the Duke II i have !
Wind blast ha ha ha you get used to it
make sure you download the manuals & micro fiche for your R1 , lots of interesting stuff on here & if your going to do a winter project on your bike is there any chance you gould start a thread in the projects section with plenty of pics please ?
