Hello, just joined to gather more information on my bike and hopefully theres some locals about (Dartford, Kent)
Can anyone recommend what oil to use and if I need iridium spark plugs / upgrade air filter ?
The bike came with modified stock cans and I believe it has a decat but im not to sure if the bike is mapped, how can I check ?
Hope I get some feedback
Regards

TY jompy
Here she is. I started on a R125 CBT time, then GSXR600 K4, then a street triple 675, and now an R1 and im over the moon and im glad I chose this over the GSXR1000.
Just needs a service, do you recommend standard air filter or bmc/k&n ?

that look nice & clean

air filter is personal preference but if you do put in a bmc or K&N you'll need to clean & re oil it every so offten (unlike me

)
you've had a nice step up on bikes then , they say the street triples are nippier than you think !
have a look through the 4c8 & 14b sections for your answer on iridium plugs ! some say they don't last very long some say they last longer , others say you'll only notice a difference if your on the track .
theres lots of other stuff on here you'll find interesting along with the service manual downloads

Welcome in mate. Nice bike. Standard air filter is fine but you can sometimes pick up a K&N cheaper than the OEM filter.

Hi mate and welcome to the forum, nice looking 4C8, got one myself, not the same colour though
I've got a K&N in mine, has it got a PC3 fitted ?
I've also got iridium plugs fitted in mine, they don't make a huge difference but mine were due for a change so that's what I chose

Welcome in bud nice 4c8 you have there, like the Termigs. Have a look under the riders seat under the lock to see if a PC is fitted, plugs nought wrong with standard, air filter race k&N or race BMC will give a bit more air flow over the Yam one and save you a few quid as time goes buy.
