Hopefully the road works will be completed soon. Considerable amount of it too John. Big enough to require an escort vehicle.
Lots of that road into Castle Douglas has ball cracking wallows in it, rather uncomfortable and unsettling .

Stevie seems there are a lot of roadworks down there, was in Gala yesterday and what looks like a new railway line being built added a lot on our journey, the route you done seems a change for me as I go north all the time around the rest and similar, will see this weekend and maybee try it

I usually do the Inverary Green Wellie Callander run but I know my way around the Galloway area and a good bit of the borders. Does good to change it about. Us Scots are spoiled for choice

Stevie thats so true with regards great roads and being spoiled, I love the west coast, across to Dunoon either by road or the Ferry from Gourock, down to Tignabruich, etc etc the list goes on, I havent ventured up to Callender as of yet but will no doubt at some time

Just back from this one Stevie, great roads pity about the heavy rain showers though, 200 miles door to door, seen one of them new Electric BMW i8 sports cars on the way as well
