In the 4xv section of the R1 area you can down load the work shop manual & parts micro fiche for your bike ( if the links not working give me your Email addy or one of the other guy's & we'll mail it to you ) .

Welcome in Jon. This really is the best bike forum by far... Not just because we love everything yamaha, but we have a real community here where we help one and other out, it's the members and out admin team that have made this furum what it is.

Someone will have the answer to any questions you may have, ..... It may not be the right answer, but bless them they will have a go. We also have a great sense of humour, well you have to on here, and have a thick skin, but hay it's all in a days fun. So join in with the banter.

Oh....

Hello John, my name's Steve, but I'm called Pete although I told Jon that Dave(my dad) calls me cock.
I used to own a lava red 5vy.

Welcome in.

On a more serious note.
Was it PB that John Cantley wrote for many moons ago?
(For anyone wondering who John Cantley is, he is one of the poor hostages being paraded by ISIS).

I presume your dad refers to yiu as cock in a good way like are you good to see ya cock.... It used to be a term someone used when they were being nice to you. Like people used to have a gay old time or a gay day, it didn't mean they were gay as we know the meeting of the word today, similarly I presume your dad wasn't calling you a dick.

I hope you ca follow this Pete, oh and with your knee down skills you should be on the fro t of the mag :P

 Yup, that's about it Steve...I'm just hoping it's a term of endearment.
He also uses the phrase 'hurts like buggery', which always makes me chuckle, I just haven't the heart to ask him about this comparison
Unfortunately I don't have the Motability scooter anymore as it belonged to a customer...I dunno, the things they ask us to repair
