thanks for the welcomes everyone as far as biking history well it all started with those buzzy two-strokes rd 125, 250 and then 350ypvs on to a new zzr 600 had a nasty off broke my back took two years to learn to walk again the wife was not happy so gave up bikes for 25years until last October I purchased a 2001 R6 rode all winter but I have always wanted an R1 so started looking and bought one from a guy in oakhampton a 2003 5pw in august this year and been tearing up the tarmac ever since . I just love the low down the the torq on the R1 compared to the R6 and I still own the R6 ,So if anyone is coming down this way in the near future give me a shout on here perhaps we can meet up and go for a bimble on some gloriously quiet roads that wind through the Cornish country side failing that I`ll just put the kettle on for a brew cheers

Hi Peter,
Cilla ere

... I still don't know why the guys have Nick named me Cilla.... But hay ho ... I blame colon
Welcome to the firum mate, the roads in cornwall are awsome, my parents used to live in Illugan about three miles from portreath, my dad is buried in the church there. Sadly due to illness I had to move them up norf so we could look after them. Going down to cornwall every other weekend sadly took its toll on me. Still awsome roads and great surfing and such a beautiful place to live.
Enjoy the bike and the roads

Are you short legged, ginger, or as Jon on here likes to say, strawberry blond or scottish, or do you buck the trend?
As I said on your previous post, awsome colour scheme, oh and as the guys on here will tell you, my legs are short enough to have owned a 5 pw
