Any R1 owners local to me?

Firstly let me start of by thanking those who helped me start a new topic. I think the problem was I was using the tap talk app

My names Wayne, I'm from Coventry and I ride a 5vy 2006 (registered in 2007) R1. I'm also on some of the Facebook r1 forums (some of you guys pointed me to here). My Facebook name is Pierce (don't ask, it's to do with my work). Anyways, I'm a newbie looking to hook up with fellow R1 riders who live in the surrounding area and are up for a laugh, enjoy fast, winding roads, and of course a nice fry up or fish & chips (when we reach our destination). Also, anyone on Facebook that would like to join a couple of group... biker watch UK (a group to alert fellow bikers to any bike related crime activities, discuss security, recommendations, post stolen bikes). The other group is; West Midlands R1 owners. This group was set up to link up with local R1 owners who are interested in hooking up and tearing up those roads, having a laugh and not taking life to seriously

Hi Paul,
Thanks for the response. Do you get out for blips much? I have to admit, I am a semi fare weather rider.... If it's pissing it down, my bike is staying in the garage

If it's pi$$ing down or really greasy looking I use the car or stay in - but if there's a chance of a dry-line appearing the bike every time - if I can't think of anywhere to go usually head to tamworth up to ashby then back on a447 unless I've got a good few hours then sometimes go up to derby/notts then back

Welcome in Wayne, enjoy this place where being serious is not that high on the agenda. No where near you but as the forum hooker, we will most likely meet or speak somewhere down the line

Thank you everyone for your welcomes. Being an R1 owner means you become part of a greater family/community. I look forward to meeting you and having a laugh. Please bare with me while I get used to this forum...

Some of us are still learning almost a year in, so no worries. Oh and remember the only daft question is a question that's not asked.
