Hi simon,
Welcome to the forum and back to R1's after 15 years. I haven't a clue what Luke and R1clarky have been on.... But then I never understand their posts anyway, mabe it's just me....
Anyway this really is an awsome firum, loads of good peeps, some with a good sense of humour, others with .... Well let's just say their sense of humour leaves something to be decided...... The gits Nick named me Cilla for gods sake
Anyway loads of knowledge on here, someone will be able to answer your questions, well apart from Jompy, colon and me that is.
So enjoy your new R1 and the firum
Cilla aka Stephen

Have got the forks from a big bang model to fit along with the six pot calipers
Also a dymag front wheel and a set of Promac yokes
First mod tho is to fit some adapters to the vacuum take offs to make checking the carb balance a lot easier

Nice pic bud that looks very clean !
best get yourself off to the 14b section & have a read up on the front forks , a few on there say they need respringing , why you fitting the 14b forks ? is it because you want the dymag on the or the 14b calipers ?
i think you'd be better off with a new master cylinder for better brakes & leave it close to original , but then we're not all the same

good luck what ever you decide to do & keep us posted
