Morning,

Just entered into the world of R1's , picked up a 5VY yesterday after selling my R6.
After 4 years away from bikes I went mad this year and bought 2 R6's, a WR450F and this R1, I'm now left with the R1 and the WR, perfect combination :D

Here's a few pics to gawp at

***Edit***
Forgot to mention, my typical stomping ground is A34, A272, A283, Loomies Cafe, Bury Hill / Whiteways Cafe and tend to meet other nuters... er I mean riders at Shoreham roundabout, those local will know the knee dragger I'm on about ;)

Welcome to the forum Adam, beautiful looking R1 you have there. It's no where near my stomping ground but you will recognise pod

He has a beautiful 5VY in carbon, it really is nice, six inch chicken strips and staberlisers, his claim to fame is that he actually overtook a milk float once, mind you he had to go for a sit down afterwards, he did get rather excited.

As you may have guessed we have a great sense of humour on here, well some of us do......

Enjoy the forum

Thanks all, she wasn't tidy after a quick ride yesterday, roads were gopping!
Quick clean and oil change later and she's looking good again.

For the local lads these were the R6's I was on this year

As soon as the WR is running jompy I'll get some pictures, she was a barn find, well sort of, cheap and every bolt rounded on it. Been working to restore it and get it back on the road, not long left and she's gonna be road ready for the lanes :-)

Hi Adam, sometimes pop in to Loomies and love the 272(as most folk down South do). Maybe get out for a blast when the weather picks up.

Welcome in Adam, nice clean 5VY, liking that. What cans are they

You wont see me around, unless I get lost or do a South West visit :) which is possible

haha, dunno about lucky jompy, the guy i bought it from stuck a 125 front end on there, had rounded every bolt possible on it and the fuel had gone off so bad the carb was full of what looked like pond scum!

Always like to meet new people pete, soon as the suns back out and the roads arn't full of leaves and flooded i'll be out!

Thanks PJC, I'm unsure of what cans they are, no branding :?: I plan on googling the part numbers when I can, but I'll be on the looking for some yoshi's or akra's when I can get a good deal :D

bloody hell the fuel sat in the CRM for 5 years & when it wouldn't start i just emptied the float bowl & tank , stuck new fuel in , checked the 2 stroke oil few kicks ( ok 20 or 30 ) & it started
