thanks for the reply's im currently getting her running right had a nightmare with the EXUP valve it took me 2 days to sort that out lots of bad language, blow torch, drill and a hammer to name a few

lol sorted now tho.
she has been getting pampered and tlc as the wife says "wish you paid as much attention to me as you do on that bike!" (weve all had the nagging)
im aware of the trouble i can get into

im going to have to be gentle on the throttle as the power difference to my Z is scary

Yes loads of info on here! My intention was to buy her put her on the road and sell to make a few quid but changed my mind the seco

nd I got her home, I take it that the torque setting is wrong from experience then :$ I learnt that the hard way on a bike I've had before thought I would tighten a little bit more and it just carried on turning so I know how you feel lol I nearly sh!te my pants Haha

Welcome in Ryan and

for a first class introduction post. Yiur bike does need some TLC and I am sure she will get it. If it's any blessing, I get the same nagging of my wife, although now ive tired she gets that fed up with me she encourages me to go out on the bike

, so I must be doing something right. I'm not too far from you either, warrington.
Anyway welcome to the mad house, this is a good firum and people help one and other out, someone will always have the answer to yiur question as someone will have been there and don't it and got the t shirt to boot, like Jompy or monkey face as he is known

said about not I ertightening the sump bolt.
One piece of advice though, don't take monkey faces advice on improving your fairings, as in his mind that means removing them from the bike and putting them in a skip, his bike is un faired and to be fair he likes it like that, it allows the wind to blow through his fur when he is riding.
As you may have guessed, you will need a sense of humour on here, but we all get on, we are big family, a bit like fudge, mostly sweet but with the odd nut thrown in
Anyway welcome

thanks for the welcome steve

yes maybe i could learn some tips off you on getting her to encourage me get out to the bike lol
i have already found some useful info on here as you said will prob need more as i get further into the restoration
i take it you dont like the streetfighters then? ive seen a few that look good but seen more that look like they have been crashed then bodged, im toying with the idea of putting risers and renthals on mine (not everybodys cup of tea but i love the bike and prefer the up right riding position) but i would keep fairings
think i will fit in here then the fudge has gained another nut lol

Well Ryan you are not the first person on here to take bits of their bike into the bathroom, and I guess you won't be the last, welshmatt is well known for giving his fairings a bubble bath, mind you he does reckon it gets them nice and clean, I know if I did that I would be dead
Re jompys street fighter, I didn't mean it to,come across as though I don't like them, far from it, jompys looks cool, I was just pulling a mates leg. If your plan is to raise the bars, then Jompy is definatly the man or should I say monkey, sorry my poor sense of humour again, to talk to
That wheel looks good

Bits of bikes inside house equals suitcases outside house!
