Hi guys,

just a short presentation - joined the forum some days ago:
my name is Henrik and I'm from Denmark.

Been riding/racing since 1984 (TZ, TZR, RD, XT, MT03, NC30, NC35, RC30, VF1000R, R6, R7, RSV4)
2013 I won the Scandinavian Superbike Championship on my RSV4 (10 wins in 10 races).

RSV4 is sold now, and in 2014 I used my 15 years old R7 - still my favorite :-)
The bike has been used by MGCompetition (Yamaha France) in WorldEnduranceChampionship, so there is quite a lot of endurance modifications (rear wheel can be changed in 10 seconds singlehanded, and the front in 20 seconds)
Engine is being maintained by Kev Stephenson (UK - long time Yamaha engine developer and now BSB team manager/engine tuner).

But....then the new R1 2015 came...so I made a deal with Kev to swap my R7 stuff with a new R1 'race prepared'.
Delivery is late february.....really looking forward to try the beast.
We'll start out with a Akra race exhaust and FlashTune (which Graves should be working on) and a CRC fairing/seat.

My first choice was the R1M, but then we talked about the standard R1 instead.
We might replace the suspension anyway, and for datalogging we use Aim EVO4...so the standard R1 was the best match (BSB teams will use standard R1's too).

Racing is in central europe - sweden, germany, cz, italy, hungary, spain, portugal etc.
Never been racing in UK (yet)...favorit track is Mugello.

Happy to join this forum.

Welcome to the forum Henrik, awsome introduction    and I'm sure that there is a lot you can teach us over here in Blighty or infact the other members we have from all round the world.

Like Jompy said, or as we know him .... Monkey face..... I would keep one of your R7's they are so so special.

We do have a strange sense of humour over this side of the North sea , and there is a lot of good humoured banter on the site, we have a good laugh and sometimes a moan but we all do actually get on, help and support one and other, which lets face it, is what biking is all about.

Anyway, welcome to the firum and I for one look forward to your riding advice, because again, one of the great things about bikes is you never stop learning, the more you learn the better yiu get and the more you enjoy the bike...... A perfect win win scenario.

Stephen :P

2 year ago - Portimao.
Really really special track....first day you'll spend learning all the blind corners, and on day 2 it gets funny :-)
The trip was 3 days at Almeria, 1 day travel between tracks, and then 3 days at Portimao.
