Just a quick intro to all. I have been a member of the USA R1 forum since 2008. I retired last year from full time work and so far enjoying semi retirement.
I have a 08 R1 4c8 in Blue and White, since new. Just bought a written off crashed R1....08 4c8 in Blue and White, as a track day bike project.
Looking forward to getting stuck into it, in time for the spring and summer.
I will post some photos as soon as I get them taken. I have lots of stock parts available and need lots of race parts and advice.
Kind regards Tommy

Welcome to the forum Tommy, semi retired ...

, I entires last year also, though I haven't stopped working, it's just that I'm doing jobs for the wife. You will have to reply to my thread Average forum age as at 1st January 2015 so we can include you in the data, Locke who has already replied to you post wants as many oldies as we have to reply as being below the average firum age makes him feel good, so I hope you can help to help us make him happy
I too used to be a member of the yank forum, but always found it difficult, they never understood my sense of humour or my spelling.... Well they spell everything wrong don't they, and they ride on the wrong side of the road.
As PJC or Pete as he is known said, we do have some really good experts on here who are always willing to help, unfortunately I'm not one of them, an expert I mean, I'm willing to help, it's just that I'm not much use.
The 4c8 you have is a beautiful bike, I loved mine and good luck with the rebuild of your track day bike, perhaps you could stick up a post in the project section and keep us updated on your progress, the guys love threads like that.
So welcome to the mad house, don't be a stranger and bring your sense of humour with you, you will need it. Loads of banter on here, all good humoured and the guys really are the best.
Stephen

you found my deliberate mistake
We used to have a guy who was a right pain in the arse on the schools forum, funnily enough his name was stephen also, anyway he used to love pointing out spelling mistakes in reports and the minutes, my furher instead of further and teh instead of the used to drive him mad, but we used to do it on purpose to see if he could spot them.....the trouble is I e been doing it fir that long it's cocked everything else up

From now on I will be the pain in the arse and point out every single mistake you make Cilla! On second thoughts that will be too much hard work.
