Hi, Just got my 99 R1 on November and only had the pleasure of driving it home to my garage then the weather just went S**T. Looking forward to getting out and about. Site looks good for info and you all seem a good crowd so prepare for some stupid questions from me.

I will be changing a few bits during this month so i will put more pics up then.

Welcome in mate nice intro and bike looks tidy

not long till the weather starts to turn around

(that's the eternal optimist in me speaking lol) as the saying goes 'the only daft question is the one not asked' - I probably wouldn't know the answer tho' anyway but someone on here will (probably) anyway join in and enjoy the forum pal

Welcome to the forum William and a nice looking R1 you have there. Remember the only stupid question is a question that is not asked, the members on here have varying degrees of knowledge from say an idiot like myself to the racers we have on here, and every skill level inbetween.
The banter is good, you will need a sense of humour and at times a thick skin. The guys are a friendly bunch and unlike other forums there are no clicks which makes this site brilliant
Anyway welcome
Cilla

Cheers for the welcome, see i knew u were a good bunch deep down

, bit of info on the bike, its got just under 17000 miles on the clock from new with all MOT'S to back it, 3 owners and the last 1 had it for 8yrs. I don't know if i like the exhaust thats on it but i also don't know whats good 1 to buy so I'm hoping for some recommendations from anyone. only the silencer as i have just replaced the EXUP on it as old 1 was seized solid

I had CBR600 when i passed my test in 2004 and just got rid of GSXR600 for the R1

. So if anybody has good info for mods please let me know. Cheers
