Welcome in Josh
Don't be shy give us a bit about your biking history & pop a pic up of the RSV , you'll need a free photobucket account & read this link viewtopic.php?f=4&t=144 or post it direct from your mobile using crappatalk . . . i mean tapatalk .
Theres lots of info on here about the 4xv's & 5jj's & they share a lot of parts , so get over to the 4xv ( sorry adverts were over & had to get back to guy martin , now where was i ? ) . . . . . . so get over to the 4xv & 5jj sections & see if the links work for the service manual & parts micro fiche down loads , any problems pm me your Email & i'll send them to you .
the early R1's are cracking bikles & still good by todays standard ;)

seen some nice 5jj's go for around the £2-2500 mark mostly blue though . the 4xv's are upto 17 years old so make sure you look through the 4xv section properly for what to look out for .
i love my 4xv

Looks nice bud , my mates that sold me the half one bought a 2002 rsvr , I had a go & only just got up the road & flagged him down for the half one back , horrible thing sounded like a bag of spanners & didn't like the power delivery
