Elo,

Just joined and looking for an act of kindness, trying to return my R1 2007 blue back to factory and finding original stickers is fricken impossible.

So I have decided to draw them up and have them vinyl printed, only thing is I need is some pics and a few dimensions....

If there is anyone that would be willing to help that lives in the south (preferable) I would be made up!!!

Obviously meet on your terms where ever you like, if there is any way I can return the favour I will ?

Yes tried Stickertec sent them an enquiry with no reply, saw they have a bit of rep on this forum so thought they might be able to help.

Would really like to start getting some pics up. I had a quick look on how to upload pics seems like a right faf, any tips on a quick way rather than upload to photobucket etc ??

Hi Paul,

Here is my current ride if your interested....

Its a 4c8, had the ECU flashed and EU restrictions lifted, remapped to the modded standard pipes now has a 45mm bore and is now kicking around 180bhp.

has a much much improved low and mid range, pickups in any gear at any revs.

Highly recommended mod for this model.

Sounds like a absolute beast and pulls like a train

Bike looks tidy mate if no joy wivv mark @ stickertec some o' the lads have had luck elsewhere (hopefully they'll be along later with some ideas ) a lot of us use tapatalk for uploading pics from ur mobile - it's a bit crap but usefull for photos we love all things yamaha/R1 on here so join in wivv the banter and enjoy the site m8 - so give us a bit about ur biking history(& pics if uve got any) cos were nosey fekkers on here

Didnt Bub get some new decals for his before he swapped his bodykit or was it another member on here,it was deffo a blue 4c8 i remember that,im sure Bub will be along to give you the long and SHORT of it or the LOWdown if it wasn't him.

Have a good look on here and you may find some pretty highly specked 4c8's, hopefully any questions you have can be answered by those who have spent far too much on far too little but love the results

Dealer dont supply decals any more so didn't get as far as price, thanks for the suggestions though lads i have more options than i started with...

Image works looks like the kitty cat, I'll send them an inquiry today hopefully they dont pull my pants down or at least lube up

As far as my bike history goes I passed my bike test in 2007 and earn't my nickname Mr Spill by 2009 hahahah Might of crashed 4 times in the first 2 years, including writing off my mates R6 he wasnt happy about that dont know why sense of humour failure me thinks.



Stopped firing bikes at the scenery since, quickly realised how expensive that hobby got !!

Done a handful of track days played around with dirt bikes, but I really love hanging off a sports bike and burying it in the red !!

I dont get out on my bike nearly enough with everything else going on but i do try........


Oh and waiting for this to arrive, told the girlfriend it makes the bike safer think she brought it hahahaa

nice little write-up there lee, lovin the 'get the mrs to pimp ya bike justification' - whenever anybody asks if I can take em on the back I always decline telling them it 'upsets the balance of the bike' - sounds like ur gonna fit in just right here pal

I let you make your own mind up, would you be friends with someone who done this to your bike...... ?

It was a clean R6 and started that day off looking similar to this



Then i got my hands on it and it took a turn for the worse











That was back in 2009 and like i said stopped that hobby i just ride within my limits now, ending up in ditches suck a fat one !!!

Plus if your not falling off your not trying hard enough right hahahaha

Yup it was me for sure, got mine off eBay , I did have to snip them a tad but the quality was great, the decals a just a little different but they still look ace, only cost me about £60, worth every penny IMO

Worst part was getting the old ones off lol

I'd go for the 08 decals, they look so much better on the blue 4C8

What is your colour code for your bike? Yamaha still do the graphics but are pricey. I use WEMOTO for my parts as I haven't got a dealer close to me and get all my genuine parts through them.

Had a quote back from Image Works for a decal set (excluding the gel ones) £60 +P&P thought this was very reasonable. I have asked them to confirm they are printed vinyl and there will be colour gradient on the parts that need them.

Sorry for the boring update need to get my posts up so I can start new topics in other sections, so be prepared for a few more yawn fest moments lol
