I thought I already done a newbie post a while back. As it happens, it didn't went through. My name is Rishi and been riding for 5 years. I bought my R1 2003 3 months ago. I had a yamaha thundercat beforehand so the 1000cc class is new to me.

Welcome to the mad house Rishi , cracking looking R1 you have there, and for me it has by far the best rear end of any R1, sadly though, I have never owned one

.
We are a helpful bunch, believe it or not, but there is a general etiquette to follow, we all now know you knew that but as you say your first post got lost somewhere, don't worry about that, yiu have been man enough to correct this, so I would say you have what it takes to stay on here, oh and make sure yiu give as good as you get. The guys are knowledgable there is loads of banter and we have a good sense of humour .... Really .
I'm sorry if we all came over as arses in your first post, iys justvthat we get peeps coming on here trying to sell stuff or ask a question and then they bugger off ..... And off is getting really p!ssed off with that, and it ain't doing his piles any good either

.... Sorry my strange sense of humour.
So welcome to the forum, as I say please accept our apologies, or mine at least and as Duncan said we could have answered your question so..... It is an H4 bulb you need
Come on guys give Rishi a warm welcome
Cilla

Welcome in mate. Your bike looks mint, do you know the correct colour as it looks darker than silver in the photos?

Thanks all for the nice welcome. I am glad there are people out there that still have a good banter. @Locke it is the silver and black scheme. Don't know the correct name for it but am sure someone knows lol

I want to change the can to an Akrapovic or Scorpion as the one I have is a blue flame and I think it could be louder. On my previous bike (Thundercat) I had a full Delkevic exhaust and that had a nice grunt to it

Rishi the colour scheme works well mate. I had an Impreza that everyone thought was silver but was actually crystal grey. My Akras on the 14B are nice and deep and according to my neighbours 'slightly' loud.
