My first car was a mk2 escort estate in a state , 1100 base model with drum brakes alround with a 1300 engine still with the 1100 box , I found

some front struts with disk brakes & fitted those

Used to stick the Capri diff in for more top end...if it had the power to get there in the first place of course

yeah it didn't have loads of power but it was fun sideways in the wet
